Bullion coins found in an old forest
Last summer I went on a bike trip with my best friend. I was a bit afraid to take him, to be honest. He"s always been afraid of the heights. I was fully aware of that, but I decided to take him in the mountains, anyway. On the first day, we were going mainly uphill, so it was enough to tell him not to look down. He didn"t panic at all. But on the second day, we were going down a high mountain. At one point, he lost control over his bike and fell down the slope, straight into some roots of old trees. I ran there immediately and felt relieved to see him alive, uninjured, looking at something he had just found. You would never believe: he found some old gold bullion hidden in a leather pouch, under one of the roots. There were covered in mud but I somehow managed to decipher the date inscribed on of the coins. It was a Spanish coin and it came from 1888. I could hardly believe it! Maybe somebody had hidden the bullion coins here during the war? They might have forgotten where the exact spot was, and gave up looking for it. It was easy to get lost in such a forest, all trees looked exactly the same. Or perhaps the person was no longer alive. Anyway, my friend packed the coins into his bag and took them home. I don"t know if he has already decided what to do with them.
