Why are people so crazy about white cot beds
This is something that I can^t really explain. Since white furniture became extremely popular a couple of years ago, almost everybody who is expecting a child decides to design a white nursery. But on the other hand, they are not necessarily following the trends, are they? White has always been associated with children. It"s the colour of innocence, purity, optimism and cheerfulness. But for me, all those cot beds, white clothes and baby accessories seem a bit dull. Such a nursery looks extremely hygienic, but it is also boring and unstimulating at the same time. Every time I enter a room like that, I feel as if I were in a laboratory. But on the other hand, if white is combined with other colours, the effects can be surprising. I once visited a couple from New Jersey who had just designed a nursery for their twins. The cot beds, chairs and tables matched the dark red baby bedding and blankets. The walls, also painted white, had been decorated with black shapes that resembled animals. There was a lot of contrast in the room which was definitely a good thing because the darker objects could easily catch the children"s" attention. This is extremely important for eyesight development.
